Anne of Green Gables - True Friends Always Together in Spirit

Stumbled upon Josie Kent's Cover photo on Facebook tonight and the past all came flooding back....

Grandma Mim hooked all her granddaughters on this classic!! When she passed away, my cousin Jodi burned the series onto DVDs for all of us girls in memory of Grandma Mim. I can't wait to dig them out and go back to the days when I would watch this show with Grandma Mimmy.

When Josie told me she doodle her name was Josie Blythe, I remembered that handsome "Gilbert Blythe".
I googled "Anne of Green Gables" and found this Anne of Green Gables website.

“True Friends Are Always Together In Spirit”

For other relationships, getting together isn’t possible. However, this doesn’t mean these relationships are any less special. As Anne reminds us, true friends are always together in spirit. Sending out Christmas cards is just one of the ways to appreciate your friends – a catchup phone call is another wonderful option.
The holiday season is a time to celebrate the many relationships in one’s life. We visit with our families, often ‘going home’ for Christmas, which also leads to visiting with many other old friends. Catching up with genuine, real people that know me deeply, fills me with warmth. Gatherings of Kindred Spirits who see each other only once or twice a year are dear occasions. While phone calls, emails and letters connect true friends throughout the year, being physically together to celebrate is bliss.
Regardless of where your loved ones are this holiday season, make sure to cherish them.
