Well, here it goes! My first public blog....
How much fun is it to find our elementary diaries when cleaning out our rooms preparing to move for college, visiting home, etc.? We giggle and still get embarrassed at the things we wrote. I still look back at documents from last year and get embarrassed at what I wrote. I think writing in a journal is much more personal than typing it out but since I don't have time to write it all out (and I can type 6x faster), bear with me at my first blogging venture.
Also, I feel like these last couple years (and hopefully the next few) are when I'm experiencing the most and I want to be able to look back and recall these experiences and lessons so vividly through my writings (ok, typings). My memory is not thee best so when I try to retell a story to my nieces, nephews and my own children about lessons for life, I'll have something to lean back on. I know that by publicly publishing this, not everybody will agree but I'm willing to take a little heat. Actually, in doing so and asking for commentary and feedback, I'm hoping for some heat. I love others viewpoints, even if I totally disagree, it's how we learn and grow from each other. There's a reason we were made the way we were and I enjoy discovering people's differences.
Since I'm a little scatter brained at times, you might hear topics from book reviews to narcolepsy to the difference of MN vs. Hollywood/California to shtuff my Dad texts to Modern Family to religion. I know one thing for sure, a month before my 50th birthday, looking back on these posts will be nothing but pure enjoyment and entertainment. So here we go ladies and gentlemen!
